Weddings on the coast are some of my favorites. Give me a beach, sweet tunes and some water close to my feet and I’m a happy camper. Not to mention the sweet-salty smells, gentle breezes on an overcast day, gulls inviting us to join their party, it reminds so much of my childhood living on the coast.
So when I got a call from my friend Sheryl Bale that needed some help shooting a wedding last December I was completely ecstatic that she would consider me. It was so bittersweet since we always have fun at gigs together but this was one of my last weddings shot in Cali before we moved to New Jersey. That didn’t stop us from enjoying the night with this super sweet couple that has been together since they were high school. Everything went off without delay which is a struggle at times with weddings. During the ceremony, they each wrote a letter to each other to read on their future anniversary. I always love running into my old handwritten notes from years ago. It sends me back to that moment in time and what I was feeling. I hope their letters find them well and they remember the good moments they shared on this joyous day.
Enjoy some of the photos from their beautiful California winter wedding.
Thank you to the Sheryl for having as your second shooter and to all the vendors that were instrumental for to the day.
