When an industry friend asked if I could help out an old college friend with family photos in my area, I was delighted to meet some new smiling faces in Cape May, New Jersey.
It had been the first time in a very long while that everyone could be at the same place at the same time. So this made for an extra special occasion to celebrate with one another.
As I write this blog post today it’s been some time since the actual shoot but Amanda was in her third trimester with her firstborn. He’s close to being one and I can’t wait to meet the little guy at the end of this month.
The most important part she requested was to have images of her parents together with the grandkids, a big group picture, and some maternity photos as well. I’ve been a wedding photographer for some time now and wrangling big family groups for portraits has trained me for these moments. Below are some of my favorites from our time in Cape May during sunset.
