A huge congratulations to these two, who got married last weekend on Mother’s Day at The Inn at Millrace Pond Spring, New Jersey. I enjoyed the entire day with you and the family. They were just a great bunch of people who made me feel so welcome and had a great choice of music for the reception. Here are some tidbits of how they decided to make it official back in 2021.
We were friendly in high school and we were even in the same prom limo senior year! It
wasn’t until July of 2021 when we reconnected over a “Happy Birthday” message. Early August we went on our first date to a New York Red Bulls game. We shared a spicy chicken sandwich, french fries, and
one conversation after another. We’ve been talking and hanging out ever since!
John: Watching her Coach the girls on the soccer team was when I ‘knew’ she was the one. Her personality shines in abundance while she is Coaching and the way she interacts with the girls was what truly sealed the deal for me.
Gillian: I knew pretty early on. John feels like home to me.
Gillian: I hope in our married lives we experience a prolonged slow burn of love
and appreciation for one another. I hope we grow to become inseparable best friends. I
want our home to be the center of our universe. I want to start my family with John. I
want to establish our own traditions and build on the traditions our families have shared
with us. I want to be the sweet old couple wearing matching sweatpants outfits and Jordan’s dancing to early 90s rap songs in our garden and just thinking we’re the best things since sliced bread 🙂
John: Truly starting our lives together. I’m ready for us to be one single unit as opposed to two individuals. Starting a family would be priority #1.
When John and I discuss what’s most important about our wedding, it’s really all about
the people we’ll get to share our day with. Our respective family and friends are the
foundation of who we have become and who we’ve built our dreams of our love and
future family on.
