Now let me preface this with, I’m a Cali west coast girl. I grew up with gangster rap, country, and rock music, love a backyard bbq or fine dining, getting fresh veggies at a farmers market on a Thursday night, and the fresh fish from off the boats where my dad used to work but on the low. Ever since we moved here, the Jersey Shore has some of my favorite beaches. Why you ask?? I’ll tell you.
For anyone not from here yes most of them you need a beach tag to use for the day but that tag pays for the city to keep them, lifeguards on duty during the busy season, and the sand nice and clean. No fighting with seaweeds and trash when you pick your spot in the sand.
The other great reason is that you don’t need to get a hotel. Find a beautiful beach rental house close to the beach and walk around with the family. Most of the small towns have some awesome dining choices and a super awesome bonus is that you can get a huge wedding party on the beach to do some quick photos in usually under an hour (assuming you have a big school bus to get everyone there at the same time and you find great side street parking).
These images are from Jim and Torie’s wedding that took place in Bay Head New Jersey. They decided to have a small ceremony the day before their big bash at a country club. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon with such a lovely couple and their loved ones.
I was a second shooter for Tina Elizabeth Photography. (awesome small business women)
Here is their small wedding gathering with family and a few close friends on a warm July 4th weekend.
