This album features a desert wedding with a real couple at a quaint bed and breakfast located in Joshua Tree, California. With an early morning start, I took a drive from Las Vegas at 3 am to make it for an 8:30 am shoot time.

It was a perfect cold clear morning up until I arrived at the bed and breakfast when it started to snow. There was some inclement weather passing through that weekend and a freak snowstorm was not in the forecast.

The bed and breakfast is perfect for a small event or wedding in the high desert. It has 4 unique cabins with ensuites and multiple detached house units for sleeping up to 5 people. Outside is where you want to be while visiting here. There is a patio area right outside of the cabins for dining outside but down below where an old tennis court use to be is where the real party happens.

This area has been transformed into a bohemian desert venue with table setups, an altar, and a bar area. What better way to dine outdoors than under the high desert stars?

UPDATE JAN 2023: Normally I would refer you to a link with the venue information but since this editorial was in 2018 it appears the venue was sold or renamed other than Desert Lily B and B. There was a location with a similar name but it doesn’t look like it allows events anymore.
